Explore Chocolate

Explore Chocolate is an award-winning bean-to-bar chocolate maker based in Pitlochry, creating every chocolate in-house from raw cocoa beans through to the finished product. 

Passionate about quality, craftsmanship and ethical sourcing, the team works directly with carefully selected cocoa producers and uses traditional stone-grinding methods, a process employed by only a small number of chocolate makers in the UK.

Explore Chocolate is renowned for its award-winning whisky chocolate bars, developed in collaboration with Scottish distilleries. 

Innovation is at the heart of the business through Explore Labs, its research and development project exploring the connection between local landscape and flavour. 

One of its latest projects is a chocolate bar inspired by a walk on Ben Vrackie, designed to capture the changing seasons of the hill through ingredients, flavours and research gathered along the route.

Visitors can enjoy tasting experiences, while chocolate lovers further afield can discover new creations through the company's monthly subscription service, Explore Monthly.
