Mara Kilpatrick brings a powerful storytelling performance to Perth Fringe 2026, delving into the lives and minds of the women who were condemned as witches in Perth hundreds of years ago.
Journey alongside these women as Mara explores their stories, their final thoughts and the emotions they may have experienced as they faced persecution and condemnation. Many of their names and voices have been lost to history; this performance seeks to give those women a voice once more.
Moving from the witch trials of the past into the modern day, Mara also explores how the persecution of women has continued to evolve and considers the connections between these historical events and the development of modern feminism.
Thought-provoking, atmospheric and deeply human, this is storytelling that asks us not simply to look back at history, but to consider what it can still teach us today.
