As part of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge theme, ‘Read To The Beat‘, join us at Loch Leven Community Library for a special music-themed event. Children will get to make their own musical instrument and take part in some fun musical activities.
Suitable for primary-age children. Under 8s should be supervised by an accompanying adult.

Summer Reading Challenge 2026
The 2026 Summer Reading Challenge, “Read to the Beat!”, is a free programme for children aged 4–11. It invites children to read six books during the summer holidays, with a fun theme around music, sound, and stories. Families can sign up at any Culture Perth & Kinross library. Children will receive a challenge pack, collect stickers as they go, and earn a certificate and medal when they finish.
The challenge supports children to keep reading over the summer and feel confident and ready for the new school year.
