European Pipe Band Championships and City of Perth Salute, 27 and 28 June 2026
Join us for the European Pipe Band Championships on Saturday 27 June, and the City of Perth Salute on Sunday 28 June.
It's a spectacular weekend of music and pageantry as Perth hosts two major pipe band celebrations across the city's famous parklands.
On Saturday, the South Inch welcomes the European Pipe Band Championships, where world-class bands compete in front of enthusiastic crowds. The celebrations continue on Sunday with the City of Perth Salute on the North Inch, this colourful gathering of pipe bands, marching displays and performances is free to attend for all.
With stirring music, traditional dress and a fantastic community atmosphere, this double-header weekend is one of Perth's most iconic summer events.
Energy Festival, North Inch, 1 and 2 August
Schedule in some fun and fitness at the North Inch this August.
The Energy Festival provides a broad spectrum of fun and engaging, grassroots have-a-go activities for the whole family to enjoy, including racquet & ball sports, running, cycling, fitness and outdoor adventure, just to name a few.
They aim to inspire children in Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths through sport and fun engaging activities. The team behind the Energy Festival believes that "Learning is only boring, if it's boring!"
The whole family can get involved and don't forget you could all participate in the mega fun Perth Colour Run! You can run, jog or walk the perimeter of the North Inch, and there will be colour powder stations and some surprises along the way.

Replay Festival, 15 and 16 August 2026
Replay Festival lands on the South Inch with a nostalgic soundtrack celebrating the biggest hits of the 80s, 90s and 2000s.
Headliners are Natalie Imbruglia on Saturday and British pop favourites Blue on Sunday; they will be joined by acts such as 10cc, Toploader and B*Witched.
Created by the team behind Heartland Festival, this brand-new event promises huge singalong moments and feel-good summer vibes. With food stalls, accessible facilities and family-friendly entry, Replay Festival is set to become a standout highlight of Perth's summer music calendar.
Scone Palace International Horse Trials, 27 to 30 August 2026
Scone Palace International Horse Trials promises four thrilling days of competition, world-class riders and outstanding sporting achievement. Set against the stunning backdrop of Scone Palace, expect heart-thumping cross-country, graceful dressage and showjumping that’ll keep you on the edge of your picnic bench!

The Scottish Yarn Festival, 12 and 13 September 2026
The Scottish Yarn Festival brings colour, creativity and craftsmanship to Perth Concert Hall for a weekend celebrating all things wool and fibre. Makers, designers and enthusiasts gather for workshops, demonstrations and talks covering knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving and dyeing.
The event also features stalls filled with beautiful yarns, tools and accessories from independent designers and producers. Whether you're trying something new or expanding your skills, the festival offers a friendly and inspiring environment while celebrating Scotland's rich textile traditions.
