Maycroft Retreat - The Scottish Wild Spa

Set within the beautiful May Glen in rural Perthshire, Maycroft Retreat is a small, independently owned wellness retreat where nature, thoughtful experiences and warm Scottish hospitality come together. It is a place to slow the pace, spend time outdoors and enjoy the simple pleasure of being surrounded by the changing landscape and seasons.

Founded by experienced wellness therapist and mindfulness teacher Denise Millar, Maycroft brings together over 30 years of experience in complementary therapies and wellbeing with a deep love of nature and simple, restorative living.

Stay in one of our two beautifully designed glamping pods, each with sweeping views across the glen and its own private wood fired hot tub. Guests can spend unhurried days enjoying the surrounding countryside, walking to our secluded waterfall or simply sitting outside and watching the landscape change with the seasons.

At the heart of Maycroft is The Scottish Wild Spa, where heat, cold and nature come together. Our beautiful wood fired sauna, cold plunges, outdoor shower and peaceful outdoor spaces offer a wonderfully simple way to slow down and reconnect. Guests can also book restorative wellness treatments in our Spa Cabin. We are proud to partner with Gaia Organics Skincare, whose natural, nurturing approach to wellbeing beautifully complements our own, with a range of Gaia treatments alongside massage and holistic therapies.

Maycroft is also home to our twin tipis, creating a beautiful space for yoga, sound baths, workshops, gatherings and both day and residential retreats. Retreat hosts can bring their own community to Maycroft, with accommodation, wellness facilities and hands on support all in one place.

Although wonderfully secluded, we are well placed for exploring Perthshire and central Scotland, with Gleneagles around 30 minutes away and easy access to Perth, Stirling, Edinburgh, Glasgow and St Andrews.
