A large two storey brick building with large windows and and outside seating area with two arched stone doorways on either side

The pub’s name reflects the building’s original function as a savings bank and highlights Perth’s historical role as the medieval capital of Scotland.

Situated along the west bank of the River Tay, modern Perth has deep historical origins.

In 1210, William, the Lion King of Scots, established a royal burgh here, which served as Scotland’s early capital until around 1452.

It was also the location where parliament met, and nearby, Scottish kings were crowned at the Palace of Scone.

This large venue offers excellent drinks and food at a reasonable price.
