PFS is offering a different kind of fireworks in celebration of the one and only French Film Festival UK that kicks off its 34th edition in November.
The Festival showcases the richness, diversity and sheer originality of French filmmaking. It was made in Scotland, and later shared across the UK nations. With help from the Institut français, the Festival brings French cinema to more than 40 Scottish venues, and Perth Film Society is really proud to be one such host! It's a massive event in the PFS calendar.
Our film was adapted from a book by Pierric Bailly and directed by the world renown Larrieu brothers “Jim’s Story” is a startlingly direct emotional tale that follows the life of Aymeric, a gentle, patient man whose essential goodness opens him up to unexpected joy and sorrow. It is a bittersweet comedic drama that offers hope that decency and selfless love will in the end gain due reward.
