Join us for a celebration of Abernethy's potato growing past - our spuds once fed the world! There are a range of events on throughout the day:
At the Museum (1-4pm): pop up exhibit celebrating the local tattie industry, and a chance to have a go at potato printing. No tickets required, just turn up and join in!
At the Kirk of St Bride (1.30-2.30pm): “People, Places, and Potatoes” with John Marshall, renowned potato expert. Tickets are required for the talk; the ladies of the Kirk Session will have potato and leek soup on the go from 1pm;
At the Williamson Hall (2.30-5pm): loads of spud-based games (including spud bowling!) and fun for all the family, with a BBQ on the go as well;
At the Bowling Club (1-5pm): the bar will be open, and experts on hand if you fancy having a go at bowling.
Finally, the brilliant Abernethy Nook will have a special spud-themed menu on the day.
