The GWCT Scottish Game Fair

Scotland’s much-loved outdoor celebration, the GWCT Scottish Game Fair, returns to Scone Palace.

This years event marks an exciting evolution for the show, with a major expansion of live music and performance programming. A bigger central stage will host headline acts, traditional and contemporary Scottish music, dancers and guest appearances across all three days, as part of a new summer festival partnership with NFU Mutual.

A key new launch is the Battle of the Bothy Bands – a live music competition debuting at the Fair. Six shortlisted bands will perform across the weekend, with the winner crowned live at Scone Palace and awarded a £1,000 prize. Applications are now open, closing 1 March 2026.

Food and culture also take centre stage, with Coinneach MacLeod (The Hebridean Baker) joining the event across the weekend, including as a judge for the Bothy Bands competition and as a headline name in the expanded Cookery Theatre programme.
