Small but perfectly formed, Kinross High Street offers a wonderful selection of independent retailers and specilaist shops ranging from a traditional haberdashery to second hand books, a proper little pet shop and fabulous gifts, jewellery and clothing.

This one-stop shop for all your celebratory needs opened in June 2024.

Delivering that perfect selection of cards, chocolates, balloons and candles, and plenty of other beautiful gift items to choose from.

Whether you are someone who  "buy weeks in advance" or in a "last minute panic" person, you have come to the right shop.

The helpful team will point you in the right direction for that unique card that says “I Love You” or “ Sorry You’re Leaving”, or perhaps, you would prefer a message-free card so you can tell them exactly how you feel!

This family business has been catering to all of your computer needs, wants and requirements since 2002.

Having built up a very loyal customer base (they’ve been on the go so long they are getting the next generations gaming needs sorted as well!) the helpful, knowledable team can handle any job, big or small.

Looking for a system upgrade, to build a PC’s from scratch, sort out your networking needs, or your printer on the blink? This is where to come!

There are some sci-fi looking PC's to choose from, if you want form and function, and plenty of standard budget pieces as well.

Hunters of Kinross

Owned by Iain (Master Butcher) and Pamela Hunter.  

This family-owned and operated Scottish craft butchers is an absolute favourite of locals and visitors alike, with the word up and down the High Street, that this butcher is the best for miles and miles.

Established in 2008, this award-winning (46 awards in 7 years and counting!) and quality assured craft butcher, consistently delivers what the locals call, the best steak pie ever!

If steak pie's not your bag, how about chicken kebabs for tea, or some lamb koftas? Beautiful whole Scotch Beef fillet (Beef Wellington for dinner anyone?) or a lovely rolled rib of beef will give you plenty of mouthwatering ideas for a special meal.

There is plenty to choose from instore;- with a wide selection of gourmet sausages, venison, pork, steaks, burgers and pies, you're guaranteed to satisfy even the fussiest of bairns here.

John and J.H. Sands Ironmongers

Owned by Stuart Skinner

As a family-run company,(daughter Marie runs the engraving department) they are very proud of their reputation for customer service and reliability, and carry a large and varied stock.

This long-standing store(earliest records of the shop are from the 19th century), provides the perfect ideal of an old-fashioned Ironmongers with a thoroughly modern layout and excellent services. They provide useful hire services, such as carpet shampoo machines, wallpaper strippers, garden tools andpower washers.

You could also get  your passport pictures taken, pick up Calor gas for the barbeque, and grab some paint for that tired garden fence. That's a productive day by anyone's standards!

Delivering a constantly evolving range of value products, such as paints, batteries, tools, toys, housewares, plumbing goods, screws and so much more combined with excellent service it’s no wonder it’s been here so long.

Loch Leven Brewery

Owned by Keith Davidson

Opened in 2017, this award-winning brewery and taproom had one mission, to produce a range of high quality, tasty, award-winning craft beers and supplement them with fantastic visual branding.

The proof is in the pudding, recently taking home the national Silver in their category for King Slaye,r a SIBA beer.

Sourcing ingredients locally whenever possible, your air mile conscience is clear and you can relax, sit back in the Tap room and enjoy all the hard work that goes into making the variety of beers taste so good! 

Unlike a regular bar, they see the tap room as a space for people to come together and explore their tastes and try something new.

It has the added bonus of being dog-friendly and, therefore, a welcome pit stop for those out walking their dogs who have worked up a wee thirst.

Whether you’re tee-total or a beer lover, there is plenty on offer here to enjoy.

Read & Relax

Owned by Sarah Jarvis

Opened in November 2024, this beautiful spot offers up an opportunity to read, relax and enjoy a cuppa made from its neighbours up the street “Unorthodox Roasters” beans, (tea and soft drinks also available) right on Kinross High Street.

With carefully selected new and second-hand books, Sarah is here to ensure that the art of reading an actual book is not lost within the Kinross community. (put those Kindles away!)  

There is plenty of choice for a great read in here, for kids through to big folk, all very affordable, and if you have a hankering for a special book, they will happily order it in for you.

A perfect day out consists of saving books from landfill, browsing books in a lovely environment and then sitting relaxing with a freshly made cuppa while surrounded by books.

This shop guarantees you will definitely stay a while and keep coming back for those literary needs. Plus, keep an eye out for special events held here.

Michelle has turned a hobby into a business, first online and now delivering upcycled home furniture from the High Street.

Creating new looks and unique furniture from previously unloved items is her passion project.  

Browse the store for that perfect addition to your house, perhaps an upcycled, unique set of bedroom side tables. Or there is a free design service for a custom order. 

Using eco-friendly alternatives, there is not a flat pack in sight.  

Also providing services to create your own masterpiece in the Shelly B Upcycling Workshop series, choose intro upcycling, embellishing or intro upholstery.

This shop is filled with everything your heart desires and then some.

Opened in November 2023, it doesn’t sell online (there's a fab website to browse the goods instore) as Charlotte personally wants to give us a very good reason to shop on our local High Street!

An eclectic mix of beautiful gifts, cards, gorgeous jewellery, art and unique homeware items.

Not to mention the wide range of bags, accessories, womenswear, menswear, and unique items for little ones - essentially all humans are going to be in for a treat.

Alongside the array of instore delights, Charlotte also offers a design service, branding, logo design, bespoke stationery, illustration and wall art.

Take a wee wander in and you will be amazed at the gift ideas and you may even pick yourself up an outfit or two.

There are a variety of leads, lots of toys, cute little dog jackets, plenty of pet foods and other accessories on offer here.

On top of that, this all comes with an absolute bounty of free advice and expert knowledge.

Perfect place to ask where to find the best dog walking area or what dog trainer has great reviews.

There is a reason it’s been open so long!

The Kind Pantry

Opened in July 2023, The Kind Pantry has found its niche.

This shop offers guilt-free,conscience shopping for all those pantry staples and more.

Do you struggle to find excellent eco-conscious cleaning supplies? Want to wash yourself with something that is not filled with a side of additional toxins? This is the spot for you.

You can bring a container (or a variety of containers, they don’t need to match!) and stock up on pasta, rice, olive oil, dried fruits, nuts, flour, cereals or lentils and get as much or as little as you need.

Purchase some glass bottles, no single-use plastic here, and start your simpler life journey.

Plenty of brilliant advice and help on offer from Moira. Local eggs, flower and breads are also available.  

Even the huge drums containing some of the products get sent back to be reused.

This third-generation watch repair specialist family business has been on the go since 1948.

Operated now by brothers Matthew and Andrew, who are both time serviced watch technicians, Winski's also specialises in jewellery and clock repairs.  

With a wealth of experience filtering down through the generations, this is the destination for that family heirloom that has stopped working as it should.

There are also some lovely pieces of jewellery that are perfect for that unique gift for the special someone in your life.

Mhairi, who loves all things crafting, has created this gorgeous, boutique shop in Kinross. Skeins &  Bobbins  stocks a wide variety of yarns from baby wools to locally spun cashmere for all those knitting needs.

The beautiful haberdashery also has lots of sewing accessories, embroidery items and crafting goods, perfect if you want to find a gift for a loved one or if you fancy trying out a new hobby.

Sinclair Cycles Loch Leven

Sinclair Cycles was established in 2004, (a wealth of knowledge on offer here!) and is the only bike shop in Perth and Kinross solely dedicated to selling e-bikes.
