Perth Leisure Pool Flumes

Summer of Sport

From July onwards, Perth and Kinross becomes a giant playground for children, young people and families, with hundreds of free sporting opportunities across  Live Active Leisure venues. From Aqua Fun, swimming discos and Aqua Run sessions to badminton, basketball, football and family games, Summer of Sport is all about getting active, trying something new and having fun together.

Backed by sportscotland funding, the programme helps remove cost barriers and will run during school holidays from summer 2026 through to Easter 2027.

Bear's Big Adventure Trail

When you go down to the woods this summer, expect to discover something special. Bear's Big Adventure Trail is bringing colourful sculptures, creativity and plenty of family fun to Perth and Kinross. With beautifully decorated bears appearing in towns, parks and iconic locations across the region, the trail offers the perfect excuse for an adventure together.

Follow the route, discover your favourites and enjoy a unique experience while supporting YMCA Tayside and its work with young people.

From Highland Safaris and Active Kids Adventure Park to Perth Museum, Blair Castle, Loch Leven Heritage Trail, local swimming pools, wildlife parks and family-friendly cafés, Perth City and Towns is packed with places to discover. Meet animals, climb, splash, explore history and enjoy unforgettable days out, with attractions and experiences to suit toddlers, teens and everyone in between.

Free Fun in Nature

Some of the best summer adventures cost nothing at all. Explore woodland walks in The Hermitage, enjoy riverside strolls along the Tay, cycle family-friendly routes, discover waterfalls, picnic beside lochs and spend sunny afternoons spotting wildlife.
