Kids Art Class

Kids Art Class is run by Sara Barr, a qualified Primary School Teacher for nearly 20 years, with an Art Degree from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee. Alongside Sara, works Laura, another qualified teacher and super creative lady!

We run weekly classes Monday to Saturday for Toddlers, kids, teens and adults. We also run school holiday art camps, special themed and seasonal events, family workshops, adult Craft and Sips and can host private art parties for all occasions and ages!

During classes, we experiment with lots of different art skills, techniques and medium. We give everything a go and work at our own pace and ability. At art classes we love upcycling so a lot of our projects are reusing and upcycling everyday materials.

Each week pupils are given a specific lesson on skills, techniques and use of materials. They are then given the time and space to be creative and make their own unique art pieces using the knowledge they have been taught. Every week is a new fun art project! We draw, we paint, we craft and we do all things arty!

Everyone is encouraged to be independent, building on their confidence and positive mental health and well-being. We build on many other skills also; such as thinking, problem solving, organisation and social. Classes are fun, friendly places to be.

Everyone goes home after each class, feeling proud and with a wonderful art creation!
